Acclaimed in the West, the album was labelled blasphemous back home in Senegal. N'Dour stresses the compassionate, tolerant side of Islam and challenges those who argue it is taboo for him to sing sacred music. His beautiful music, love for Islam, and his infectious belief in the potential of young Africans to solve their problems make this a revealing, spiritual journey.
