The landscape and its inhabitants are changing in the beautiful valleys of mid-Wales. In this poetic and profound study of rural Wales the camera very quietly observes these changes as the population grows older, the local primary school faces closure, and the mobile library resists a move into the 21st century. Intertwined with an original soundtrack by Aphex Twin, Sleep Furiously describes the current issues facing the farming community by transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.

We hope that director Gideon Koppel will visit the festival. See Latest News on Welcome Page for final confirmation.

After the screening at Brilley, the bar will be open and a Ploughmans Supper on sale with The Grocer's Son to follow at 7.30pm
