Director: Tony Gatlif
Starring: Romain Duris, Rona Hartner, Izidor Serban
Romania/France, 1997, 1 hour 42 minutes

The third of Tony Gatlif's gypsy trilogy in which Stéphane, a young Parisian, travels to Romania, looking for the singer Nora Luca. He meets Izidor, an old Roma who takes him to his village. Stephane settles in believing that Izidor will take him to Nora Luca when the time comes. As an outsider, the other inhabitants initially distrust him, but gradually the ice between him and the beautiful Sabina thaws. Made with a raw energy, this tender, lyrical, utterly authentic portrait of the Roma is full of joy, sorrow, and wonderful music.
