Down-on-his-luck and over-the-hill Juan is trying to scrape a living in the doleful, dusty desert of Patagonia. When he’s given a great white dog, he is initially unimpressed, but Bombon proves a staunch companion and possible money earner. An endearing shaggy dog story which through its succession of chance encounters and warm, off-beat characters builds a quietly optimistic portrait of life at the ends of the earth.
