When lost, pill-popping Andrew returns to his hometown for his mother’s funeral he meets a weird and wonderful assortment of old friends – from grave diggers to millionaires, cops to druggies. But best of all he starts hanging out with the quirky Sam (the magical Natalie Portman), a pathological liar who gradually reignites his love of life. Full of lovely lines and hilarious scenes this is an amusing portrait of a guy sleepwalking through life until he finds love.
